I am freakin sick of people on youtube saying how much they like the music in Beck: Mongolian Chop Squad better in English than Japanese purely for the reason that, quote "the english voice actors pronounce the words better, so the music sounds better." IGNORANT!! Obviously these people have not actually WATCHED the anime in Japanese. One of the over riding themes of the entire anime is a LANGUAGE BARRIER. They are not supposed to know how to speak English, and the 2 who do, do not sing. Why can't people understand this? The anime has so much more meaning this way, and the songs also.

Think of it this way... Do most J-Rock or J-Pop singers that sing in English speak with a perfect English accent when they sing in English? NO! Sometimes you can't even tell they are singing in English at all. Would these same people who claim the English Beck songs are better use the same argument to tell people that songs sung by Hyde of L'Arc~en~Ciel or Gackt would sound better if they were sung by people who sing with a perfect English accent? I highly doubt it. Those people are music Legends in the J-Rock world. The people singing in the Japanese Beck songs ARE in real J-Rock bands. The english singers are just voice actors. Hmm... I wonder who would sound better?

Ridiculous. Simply Ridiculous. I have the entire Beck soundtrack in Japanese and I love and appreciate it for all of it, the singing, the meaning, the themes, EVERYTHING.

YEAAHH!!!! My B-day has arrived, but it ends in 15 minutes, but who cares. It ends when I go to sleep. Now I am no longer 16, but 17!!! I feel old cuz next year i will be what people call "legal". I won't be a minor anymore, I'll be a major. Boo-hoo. Can't wait till I'm 21 and 8 months....why? cuz i gotta wait till my cousin turns 21 after me, and my grandma takes us both on our first REAL Vegas trip. Rockin'. Today was good. I got what I asked for from my parents, a grand total of $100 from my grandmas, some "how-to" manga books from the once read book store, then went out to dinner at Marie Calanders and got free pie. French Apple or die baby, French Apple or die. A very hapy birthday it was for me. now I have family party on Sunday and my annual friend swim & sleep-over party next weekend. Splendid, simply Splendid.

Yeah! I fianlly got around to installing the new printer my dad got for us, i had been without scanner for many weeks now and it pained me. my dad and brother were very lazy and didn't get off their butts to install it and set it up, so now that I have a free moement this week (my Friday night to boot) I installed it myself. Now that I got a scanner, I uploaded a whole mess of pics I've had laying around for a while. I am so happy I could expolde.
